Im fine thanks
you??
How about you? I hope your life's going a lot better. :) The situation at school finally improved?
Later, Laura
That's great that you're willing to speak only English with me! :)
We haven't been looking for any particular village, but I had this imagination in mind to find one really, really small that's absolutely romantic and so on... I'm a little bit weird, I know. Katja suggested to go down to Colmar (at least this direction), but we didn't want to use the highway because of the toll. However, no matter where we drove, it just lead us to Illkirch-Graf (or something like this).
About the exams... we pass our final tests at school at the age of 19 (they now changed it to 18) and then we're allowed to enroll at university immediately. For some subjects like law, medicine, psychology etc. exist a numerus clausus, but there's no other criteria you need to fulfill...

It's a warning: Probably I will take your invitation to come and visit seriously! However, you need to promise me to talk English with me ;)
With your help we maybe gonna find a small village we've been looking for... mostly we just found industry areas while driving through the surrounded area... :D
It's really weird how different education systems are - when Germans are finished with school we could directly start with our studies or stuff like this.

Laura
BTW, your pic slide show is adorable!
France was soooo great... the weather was so amazing and everything was so (super) cute. We walked a lot through the history disctrict of Strasbourg, had delicious meals and drinks by the river and the cathedral, were enthusiastic about the French boys *g* and on the way back we paid Baden-Baden a short visit.
We also saw the sign to Nancy, but didn't know how far it is away... and I couldn't have told you to pass by and say "hi" after a few days writing via internet, could I? However, definitely we gonna come back! If you'd like to I could provide you a link to my online photo gallery where I uploaded the pics taken on the weekend...
I know what you mean about being alone in a new place... probably it's gonna get better. Now this is nurse school you just started with?
Best,
Laura
And you know what? I have been in France this weekend!! It was crazy, it was amazing, it was wonderful.... :) Just kind of frustrating that I didn't understand a single word except oui, non and some others after being thought this language for seven years...
And how was 'school'?
Later, Laura
We finally also booked the hotel for the weekend... the weather will get better and to my information the temperature should rise up to 20°C :)
What's going on in your life?
Thanks for letting me know about the weather. So, definitely no difference to Germany... :-( Here it's rainy and stormy... I begin to hate the grey sky.
Pediatric nurse? That's exactly what I'd choose if I'd wanted to become a nurse ;-) So good luck with it! You have to pass an exam before entering nurse school or does this exam belong to the final high school tests?
Sorry, no French words for today ;-)
Laura
Ps. You once mentioned that you live not far away from Straßbourgh - just been wondering how the weather is now, because maybe a friend of mine and me gonna go on a weekend trip there.
