I mean no harm nor do I mean any drama, however, I need to say the only reason I joined this group is because I think it's in bad taste.

I understand fanfic is very popular these days, but do you really think discussing CSI fanfic on SFT is really appropriate? I mean how many CSI sites do you promote your fanfic AND how is your fanfic comedic? This is a site for comedy and laughs, not a place to drool over the idea of Eric/Greg in love/lust/angst over Grissom/Nick, etc. Can you see my point of view?

That is exactly what this note is about. My point of view. Please respect what I am expressing xxoo

Please keep in mind this is not a CSI/Eric Szmanda fansite. This is Secret Fun Time- the site that keeps people laughing!

Kudos to all you writers out there. I respect you.
I just don't respect having fanfic discussions happening on this site.
Do you really want Eric Szmanda knowing you fantasize about him with George Eads??? I wouldn't.

Peace to you all xxoo

I can see your point, but I think the purpose of Groups are to let people with the same interests meet each other and talk about the things that have in common. What's the harm if there's a group of CSI Fanfic writers? This may be a comedy site, but it's also a site for friends.

I agree with Haley, Nada.

Just because this site does not host any fanfiction, does not mean it can't be discussed. It is still a relevant topic considering how many people here are in fact CSI fans. You just can't separate the two, it seems. Not that I think that's necessarily a bad thing.

This site is for laughs and good times, yes. But if you don't want to talk about fanfiction, then you don't have to even look at this discussion. You chose to. Which is your right. Its also your right to have this particular opinion on the matter. But it was someone else's right to start the discussion in the first place.

I think its wrong to say that one should not be able to talk about certain things. It impedes on ones freedom, in my opinion. You don't have to respect the discussion, you don't have to pay it any attention either. It isn't as if it attacked you.

As for Eric and what he does or does not know... I don't think he really cares about that sort of thing. It isn't like he has the ability to stop it from happening, and if it were me I wouldn't be bothered with it. I'd have better things to worry about.

And another thing, because this kind of bothered me. Fanfiction does not mean slash (male on male) fiction. It just means a story line written by a fan. That is all. It doesn't have to have any romance at all. It could have a comedy or horror filled plot. You are the one making the assumption about what people write about. I happen to be a writer and am not very happy that you are generalizing the entire thing down to slash.

As for what is and is not appropriate, I'm sure they have a site moderator to judge that. Personally, I feel that as long as one is not insulting or being crass or rude, you should be able to discuss whatever you like.

Nada's right,
Secret fun time was made for laugh and to share funny things. Eric Szmanda is also an actor in CSI but there's enough fan sites for Eric's work as an actor, I think there's not the right place to talk about him as an actor, and that if you want to talk about Greg Sanders or/and his work in TV shows and movies, you should join a fan site dedicated to it.
Thanks for also respecting my point.
